Privacy Policy

Baselyne ("we", "our", or "the app") is a workout tracking app for iOS. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data Baselyne handles, where it goes, and what control you have over it.

The short version: we don't collect, sell, or track your data on our own servers. Almost everything you log lives on your device and (if you choose) in your private iCloud account.

Data We Collect

Workout Data

Baselyne stores the workout data you create, including exercises, sets, reps, and weights; workout templates and programmes; workout session history and duration; rating-of-perceived-exertion values; and body weight entries.

This data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and synced across your devices using Apple iCloud (CloudKit). We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Sign in with Apple

If you choose to sign in, Baselyne receives the following from Apple: a unique user identifier, your name (if you choose to share it), and your email address (if you choose to share it).

This information is stored locally on your device and is used to keep you signed in and display your profile within the app. Your Apple identity token is also passed to a Supabase authentication service so the app can maintain a secure session. No other personal data is shared with Supabase.

Apple Health

If you grant permission, Baselyne reads the following data from Apple Health to power the Home page widgets: step count, sleep analysis, active energy burned, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, Apple Exercise Time, Apple Stand Hours, workouts logged by other apps, and your daily activity summary (Move, Exercise, and Stand rings).

Baselyne also writes your completed strength workouts to Apple Health so they appear in your activity history.

All Apple Health access is local to your device. The app never transmits Apple Health data to us or to any third party. You can revoke this access at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Baselyne.

App Preferences

Baselyne stores your preferences locally on your device, including your chosen colour profile, weight unit (kg/lb), rest timer settings, and which Home page widgets you have enabled.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see your payment details — only the anonymous transaction identifier Apple provides to confirm an active subscription. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect analytics or usage data. We do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. We do not have access to any data stored in your iCloud account.

Baselyne previously offered a community feature backed by Supabase. That feature has been removed, and all associated user data (usernames, shared workouts, ratings, and blocked-user lists) has been deleted from our servers.

iCloud Sync

Baselyne uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your workout data across your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot read, access, or retrieve your CloudKit data.

Data Storage and Security

All workout, body weight, and preference data is stored either locally on your device or in your private iCloud account. The only external service Baselyne talks to directly is Supabase, which holds the authentication session that keeps you signed in. Your data is protected by your device's built-in security and your iCloud account credentials.

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time by deleting individual workouts, templates, or body weight entries within the app; using Profile > Clear All Templates to remove every template at once; using Profile > Delete Account to wipe your authentication session and local data; deleting the app from your device; or removing Baselyne's data from iCloud via Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Manage Storage.

Children's Privacy

Baselyne is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
